A couple weeks ago we got this idea to drive to Florida for a weekend. Just me and Ian. Maybe a little crazy, but we like to think of it as an adventure. So one Thursday after school we hopped in the car and started driving:
2:45 pm on Thursday - 22 degrees - 15 hours of drive time til the beach
We had a fun drive to Atlanta during which we prayed, listened to some sermons and podcasts (including one about birth that Ian graciously listened to and commented on) and I crocheted. We spent the night at my cousins house in Atlanta (thanks Jen!) and got up bright and early to beat the Atlanta traffic. We got to watch the sun come up as we drove and ian pointed out that we hadn't seen the sun in weeks!
Glorious sun! 7:15 am on Friday - 37 degrees - 5 hours til the beach!
8:30 am Friday- 44 degrees - 4 hours til beach time baybee! I swear it has been super sunny for the past hour, then right before we cross into Florida we hit a patch of clouds... That's why it looks so dreary in the pictures.
12:30 pm on Friday - 68 degrees - 0 minutes to ocean!
We took lots of walks, read some books, and basically put all our responsibilities on hold for the weekend.Totally worth it:)
