Creation Museum

We did a unit about dinosaurs a couple weeks ago so we thought it would be a good time to take the kids to the creation museum! My favorite part about that place is the outdoor walking trails and gardens. Seriously beautiful...
 They particularly loved the bridges

 And the petting zoo

I was so proud of them for actually letting the animals eat from their hands. Noah especially was not having it at first, but I think when he saw that the alpaca didn't eat Mary's hand off he was a little more willing to try.
We walked through the whole museum and it was fun to point things out to the kids and reiterate what we have been teaching them about creation. And every time we saw a dinosaur they would get wide eyed and ask, "is that a REAL dinosaur???" Even though we talked multiple times about how dinosaurs aren't around anymore and that all the ones in the museum are fake...

Thomas got to stay with grandma for the day and he was not complaining. Here he is pushing his face up against the stove to look inside. Grandma turned the light on in the stove and showed him how to look in so he kept coming back for more!
