I brought my camera with my everywhere on Easter and still didn't manage to get a decent picture of the family... We got doughnuts to celebrate resurrection day!
Hey mom:)
It was my turn to be in kid care last weekend. I was kind of sad because it was Easter and I wanted to be part of what we were doing for that, but I also got to play with some pretty cool kids:

Tomorrow
I am so pumped for tomorrow. Usually I'm not a fan of "artsy" things. Things that stray from the norm that I'm used to. I'm a very practical person so when we do things at church like have time for reflection or make detailed videos I always wonder 'what is this accomplishing???' This clashes in a big way with people at our church because there are many artists there. Film makers, graphic designers, and in general people who like to create. At first I didn't see the value in this because I don't generally see beauty and emotionalism as super valuable. But you know what? God has really softened my heart in this area. God made things beautiful and he didn't have to. He gave us emotions. He brought all these wonderfully creative people into my life for a reason and now I can't help but love them! And I'm starting to see the value in all the talents that they have.
You may be wondering why I'm talking about all this. Tomorrow at church we are having worship, and they are showing a short film that was (or should I say, is probably still in process) made by a couple very talented people in our church. That's it, and then we're having lunch. I think this film will be very powerful because it is people who have gone through situations that most of us only have nightmares about, but they have been made new and redeemed by Jesus. Come and see! Here is a preview:

9 months
Little Nono is 9 months old now! I think he gets cuter (is that a word?) every day. He's very strong and mobile. He literally hurts me sometimes cause he just holds on to my arm so tight. He really loves mommy and gets so excited when he sees me. I love that! He also really loves Mary and following her around the house. He's been more vocal lately too. He likes to say "DA!" really loud occasionally. Eating finger foods is really funny and a bit of a challenge. He spits everything out the first and second time it goes in. He's got a stubborn and persistent mommy though...so I keep popping that food back in. He'll eat a few things now on his own. He still likes his sleep! He will start to get fussy when he's tired so I go in to get him ready for sleep. I'll be holding him right before a nap and rocking with him wanting to snuggle him but he continues to fuss until I lay him down in his crib. Then he snuggles into it and calms right down. I don't get it, but I guess I'm OK with it. I'd like it if he wanted to cuddle, but I'm not going to complain about him loving the crib either.
Here are some pictures from last weekend on his actual 9 month birthday:) Dirty little fingers:

Gatlinburg
Wow. It is feast or famine with this blog. We got back from our trip to Gatlinburg yesterday. We did not get much sleep, but it was so worth it! We had a lot of fun and made a lot of memories with some of our good friends. The kids did really well in the car which was a shocker. Mary ALWAYS puts her sunglasses on upside down. I think she thinks that's the right way. Oh well:
The view from our cabin was incredible when the fog finally lifted. Here is a picture of us outside:
Noah and his little friend:
We hiked to Laurel Falls with two kids. Difficult, but not impossible!
Both kids got extra sleepy on the hike as it was way past nap time!
