Mary is 18 months old!

Well I wanted to do a special photo shoot for Mary's 18 month birthday. I usually just take pictures of whatever we're doing that day on her month birthday, but for 18 months I made a ghetto rig back drop in my living room and put her cutest outfit on her. She, however, did not get the memo that you're supposed to smile...so I did the best I could, with the help of my good friend Cari.
This is how much Mary liked having her picture taken:

She's thinking, 'Oh I'm just as cute as they come!'

And then she just stopped looking up all together:

Another reason I can't wait for it to get warm: it will be much easier to take pictures of her outside!

Video Time

In this video Mary is showing off her tricks:) Although once she heard the microwave beep she was out of there...it meant lunch was ready.

This was actually from a couple months ago. It's not very good until about half way through if you want to just scroll to half way. When Daddy gets home it's really cute:)

20 Week Ultrasound, baby #2

We had our ultrasound today and everything looks really good! We had to wait a while after the ultrasound for the Dr. to get back from delivering a baby, so we went to subway and Mary and I shared a foot long sub:) It was fun.
Here is baby's profile:

And baby's face from the front. Looks kind of scary. I requested the profile shot this time because this face shot was all we had of Mary. Not quite the cute little pic you hope for!

We video taped the ultrasound as well for anyone who is that interested in the baby. It's long. My favorite parts are the beginning when you can see the baby moving around, and there's a part in the middle where you see all four chambers of the heart and get to hear the heart beat. It is awesome that we have the technology to actually see all that! You have to turn the sound up kind of loud to actually hear what she's saying.

20 weeks

I will officially be 20 weeks pregnant tomorrow:) Although dates mean relatively little, it's still cool to be half way! I was thinking the other day about how it seems like I've been pregnant forever, but really that's only because I've known since the first day it was possible to know. Home pregnancy tests are a great invention, but when you can find out that early it makes pregnancy seem really long.
I want to take more pictures of myself pregnant this time, so here I am from today...notice the little princess attached to my legs!

Last snow pictures

I'm hoping this is the last big snow we get this winter. I'm ready for green grass to come out from under all that snow. I just wanted to take a few pictures to document the mass amounts of snow we've gotten in the past two weeks. Here is Mary standing on the top of the pile of snow Ian made from shoveling the front walkway:

Ian was shoveling snow and I started to clean off the cars. When I turned to see what Mary was doing I found her here:

That's right, apparently she is not a huge fan of the cold and snow so she kept walking up to the garage door to go back inside. Also, she is a little helper. She always wants in on what we're doing. The other day I was picking grapes and putting them into a colander and she came over and started picking grapes out of the bag and putting them into the colander just like I was doing. She didn't even try to eat one. It was cute. Here she is "helping" daddy shovel.

Happy Valentines Day!

Last night Ian and I went to BD's mongolian grill in Mason for our date night. It was good! But I'm not sure I would drive out there again just to go there...you had to pick your own food and then stand in line while they cooked it. It was also really crowded so we had to wait until 7:30 to be seated even though we had reservations for 7. So that's my review of BD's: good but pricey and far away. Chipotle is better:)

Here are some pictures of Mary from the other day. I realized that I stopped taking pictures of her as much as I used to. Probably because it's so cold outside and we don't do a ton. But she likes to stand on the windowsill and look outside. So here she is:

Got her to look at me! But she was getting tired of looking outside so...

Trying to grab the camera. Hence the big splotch in the bottom left corner:

Snowed In

Here are some pictures of what we've done so far today.

Here's Mary carefully examining her current favorite toy:

Finally got her to look at me:

Here she is deciding whether or not she wants to get in trouble for touching the book shelf:

18 weeks baby! The workout video I have says that me and baby both get a workout...so here WE are after OUR workout:

Daddy brought the sled out:

She's laughing at Daddy because he's throwing sticks at the tree:

Baby #2 at 17 weeks

Just a quick update: we had a doctors appointment yesterday and everything went well. It was so great to hear the baby's heartbeat:) Appointments are actually pretty boring besides hearing the heartbeat. They just ask if I have any questions, any pain, do I want certain tests...and I generally answer no to all three.

I've also been feeling the baby move around for the past week or two. It's not super consistent yet, but occasionally I feel a couple little bumps from baby! This is why I love being pregnant. I always tell people that but I feel like it can be misleading. I DO love being pregnant, but I don't like everything about being pregnant that's for sure! The baby is so manageable this way:)
Here is a picture of Mary as we were driving to Jungle Jim's last week:

And here she is at the doctors office:

Reason number 10,000 why I have the best OBGYN: he got SO excited when he saw Mary in the room and when she handed him a toy he started to play with it with her for a couple minutes. He said it was bringing back memories of when his kids were little. It's so clear why he does that job! He loves kids and wants them to be healthy! We're hoping to get some snow this weekend so Mary can use her snow boots for the second time before she grows out of them...we'll have to lend them to our friend Abigail next winter so they can get some more use!
